BABY MASSAGE 5 WEEK COURSE

My baby massage course is designed for babies aged 6 weeks to pre-crawling. Your course will be taught over 5 weeks with one 1hr session a week. Your course will provide you with all the right techniques to massage your baby effectively.

Course structure:

Week 1 - Chest & Tummy

Week 2 - Legs & Feet

Week 3 - Arms & Hands

Week 4 - Back

Week 5 - Head & Face and Recap

Each session we will focus on a certain area of the body in detail. Each area is incorporated into the next session so by the end of week 5 you would have gone through a whole routine from top to toe. Course price includes: A bottle of 100% Pure Certified Organic Sunflower oil, tea, coffee, cake/biscuits, use of yoga mats, use cushions for you and your baby/baby blanket and the wonderful skill of effective Baby Massage!

Certificate and a little bag of beautiful keepsakes on completion of your course!

Although sunflower oil is perfectly suitable, if possible please try to do a patch test on a small part your baby's skin (inner wrist for example) using sunflower oil at least 24hrs prior to your class. It might seem strange to use an oil you can cook with for massage, however it is important to use food grade oil for the inevitable sucking of fingers and toes!

This class consists of a mixture of yoga for the parents as well as yoga purely for your baby. However no yoga experience is necessary. You will be helping them and guiding them into the poses and movements with your support. Alternative poses are available for younger babies. You may think how on earth am I going to get my baby doing yoga?! But babies are always welcome to interaction and fun. They are naturally flexible at this age and respond in a lovely way to the touch and movements.

My classes are a wonderful way to introduce your baby to relaxation through gentle stretching and age-old, traditional yoga-inspired movements. I will introduce you to massage techniques that can be delivered over clothes, breathing techniques as well rhymes and songs. This really is a lovely class for introducing your baby to new things!

If your baby is just a few weeks old it is often a good idea to wait until your baby is comfortable with a baby massage routine until introducing yoga. However, it is welcomed to book onto the baby yoga course in conjunction with the baby massage as a fantastic aid to their development. Any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
